The Mercian Regiment is an infantry division of the British Army and is one of three regiments of The Kings Division, consisting of 3 battalions - two regular and one reserve

Since its formation in 2007, the Mercian Regiment recruits from five counties traditionally sourced from England’s ancient kingdom of Mercia. Its formation brought together The Cheshire Regiment, The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment and the The Staffordshire Regiment 

The Mercian Regiment uses the double-headed crowned eagle as its emblem
